Is Subsight really free?

Yes forever. Subsight is MIT-licensed and fully open source. The hosted version is free during beta. Self-hosted is free forever. You only pay for Supabase and Groq usage, both of which have generous free tiers that cover most users.

Do I need a Groq API key?

Only for AI auto-fill. Every other feature dashboard, tracking, simulation, export, analytics, settings works without it. You can add a key at any time in Settings.

Where is my data stored?

In your own Supabase PostgreSQL database. Subsight never has direct access to your data. You own it completely, and you can export or delete it at any time.

Can it detect subscriptions from my bank?

Not currently. Subsight is manual + AI-assisted. Bank auto-detection is on the roadmap, but we prioritize privacy no bank credentials needed today.

What export formats are supported?

JSON, CSV, and PDF accessible via a single click or keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+E (JSON), Ctrl+S (CSV), Ctrl+P (PDF).

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet web-only today, but the interface is fully responsive and works well on mobile browsers. A native app is on the roadmap.

Can I self-host on my own server?

Absolutely. Clone the GitHub repo, set up a Supabase project, add your environment variables, and deploy anywhere Next.js runs Vercel, Railway, fly.io, or any VPS.
