Terms of Service

Last updated: March 24, 2026 · These terms govern your use of Subsight. By using the service, you agree to the following.

01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Subsight (subsight-tracker.vercel.app or any self-hosted instance), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and contributors.

02

Description of Service

Subsight is an open-source subscription tracking application that allows users to manually track recurring payments, view spending analytics, and receive AI-powered insights. The service is provided as-is under the MIT License. Self-hosted deployments are entirely the responsibility of the host operator.

03

User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

04

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (1) use the service for any illegal activity, (2) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API, (3) upload malicious content or compromise the security of the service, (4) use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair Subsight infrastructure, or (5) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

05

AI Features Disclaimer

AI-powered features (auto-fill, spending insights) are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. Outputs are generated by third-party AI models (Groq / LLaMA) and may contain errors. Subsight makes no warranty about the accuracy of AI outputs. Do not use AI-generated financial insights as your sole basis for financial decisions.

06

Open Source License

Subsight's source code is licensed under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software. The MIT License applies to the codebase only not to the hosted service's data, branding, or proprietary configurations.

07

Limitation of Liability

Subsight is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall the authors or maintainers be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use or inability to use the software. This includes loss of data, loss of revenue, or service interruptions.

08

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via the GitHub repository and, where possible, via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Last updated: March 24, 2026.
